HOW LONG DO DRIED FLOWERS LAST?

Dried flowers can last years if they are looked after. To prolong the life of your dried flowers please keep away from water, direct sunglight, humidity and dust.

HOW LONG DO PRESERVED FLOWERS LAST?

Preserved flowers can last 2-3 years if properly looked after. Preserved flowers are different from dried flowers in that having been harvested in full bloom, they are preserved using natural glycerine and dyes to maintain a fresh, natural look.

To look after your preserved flowers there are several things you can do:

  • Keep them away from water
  • Keep them away from humidity
  • Position them away from sources of heat like radiators or fireplaces

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DRIED AND PRESERVED FLOWERS?

Dried flowers are simply dried out meaning they can be enjoyed forever!

Preserved flowers are slightly different.

Preserving flowers is a natural process. When a flower or plant has reached the perfect size, they're cut. They are then rehydrated using a biodegradable solution that is made from fresh plants. The flower absorbs the solution until all of its sap and water is replaced by it. Now the flower is perfectly preserved to last! That’s why preserved flowers often look fresher and feel more supple.

DO DRIED AND PRESERVED FLOWERS SMELL?

Please be aware that dried and preserved flowers can occasionally develop an odour.

Some dried flowers are bleached. Please note bleaching is a chemical process and can occasionally leave a residual chemical smell. This is usually unnoticeable and often disappears after a few days out of the packaging. However if you thinking you might be sensitive to this try our natural flowers instead.
